I went to the La Liga match between Real Madrid and Valencia and I was not disappointed with the match.
Real Madrid looked to continue their good form in La Liga and successfully maintained their lead at the top. Before the game Mbappé received his October player of the Month (that SBC will be way too expensive) and also the Golden Boot for the 2024/25 season. This was a pretty cool experience to watch a Golden Boot ceremony live.
Mbappé’s reward did not seem to satisfy his goal scoring hunger as he played incredibly in this match.
This game was absolute domination from Los Blancos as they controlled possession throughout the entire game. Valencia could not get a sniff in this match and this was shown by their first and only shot on target late into the second half.
Mbappé scored two goals in the first half one being a penalty (dubiously given in my opinion) and the other being a shot from close range from a great cross from Arda Guler. Mbappé had the opportunity to get a first half hat trick but he gave the second penalty (was a clear penalty) to Vinicius Jr. whose penalty was saved. The third goal was as they say a golazo by Jude Bellingham who cut in from the left hand side and slotted it into the bottom corner from the edge of the box. Despite Vinicius Jr.’s missed penalty, Real Madrid’s goals all came from play from the left hand side.
The second half slowed down the pace as the game was already won in the first half. Not many chances came to either team as Real Madrid were comfortable recycling possession. Not until the last 10 minutes where Carreras scored an absolute screamer. His shot came from the left hand side from the edge of the box from an angle which seemed impossible. Nonetheless, the ball flew into the top right corner and everyone’s reaction in the stadium was the same. Disbelief.
Real Madrid continue their good form in the league as they stay at the top of the league. Mbappé is scoring every game. If I was a Real Madrid fan I would be ecstatic and looking forward to the next match against Liverpool at Anfield (who look vulnerable).
MOTM: Mbappé who was an absolute joke. However, honourable mention to Jude Bellingham who controlled the game on both sides (a proper two-way player) and scored a great goal
